Managing Director, Financial Services

Insignia Group are searching for dynamic leader to head our newly launched FS entity (VCFC). You will have a unique opportunity to drive growth and success of our Acquiring, and Card Issuing businesses.

This newly created role will require a visionary leader with extensive experience in the financial industry, particularly in digital banking operations.

Reporting to the CEO, you will have a broad remit to develop and implement the operating model needed to support our expanding portfolio of services.

Your primary focus will be on delivering world-class service to our clients and ensuring that our operations are at the forefront of innovation and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop optimal business processes in collaboration with the executive team.
  • Monitor and drive the strategic development of the VCFC, including core and non-core businesses.
  • Complete rollout of all agreed portfolio products and implementation of tariff plan.
  • Work with marketing and sales on launch strategy and event execution.
  • Lead the development of a systems and IT strategy to support operational requirements.
  • Oversee change initiatives and project governance across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with business unit leads to ensure program success and stakeholder satisfaction.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations to meet client and stakeholder needs.
  • Own the development of product relationships and external suppliers.
  • Act as a point of escalation for all service delivery issues.
  • Lead IT initiatives to enhance our business offerings.

Issuing and Acquiring:

  • Develop and implement best-in-class systems and architecture for issuing operations.
  • Manage relationships with card processing partners to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Oversee merchant acquiring operations to drive revenue growth and market share.

Professional Requirements

  • Extensive operational experience in a senior managerial role in a card issuing and acquiring or payments business within a financial institution or within a payment processing institution.
  • Proven experience leading large operations teams with high transaction volumes an complex IT systems.
  • Detailed working knowledge of both sides of card transactions processes including industry standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of collections and debt aging process for credit cards.
  • The ability to effectively prioritise, manage deadlines and understand new ideas and concepts quickly.
  • Reputation for adherence to standards, policies, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to produce high quality deliverables for different audiences.
  • Ability to manage and lead a dynamic team.
