Startup Grind is a Silicon Valley-based organisation that educates and mentors entrepreneurs in cities across the globe. Their past events have featured speakers including Clayton Christensen (The Innovator’s Dilemma), Ben Silbermann (Pinterest), Vinod Khosla (Sun Microsystems), Jessica Livingston (Y Combinator), and Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn).
Startup Grind lays claims to being the world’s largest community of startups, founders, innovators, and creators. It brings together like-minded and diverse individuals through local events, flagship conferences, partnerships, online media and a startup programme powered by Google for Entrepreneurs.
Monthly Startup Grind events follow a ‘fireside chat’ format where the host asks questions of the speaker to draw out their circumstances, experiences and lessons learned on the way to their success.
Derek Andersen and Spencer Nielsen founded Startup Grind in 2010. The first annual Startup Grind Global Conference was held at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California between 4-6 February 2013. Although dates have yet to be announced for the 2021 Global Conference (which is likely to take place in Silicon Valley next February), the Startup Grind Tech Conference has been confirmed for the Auditorio AXA in Barcelona from 4-5 May 2021.
The fourth edition of the Startup Grind Tech Conference promises a full two-days conference populated by top investors, entrepreneurs, developers, and journalists from all around the world to discuss how companies intend to face the technological challenges of the future.
