Our team recently embarked on a remarkable familiarisation trip to experience the renowned Barrière Hotels in France. From the stunning Royal Barrière Hotel in Deauville to the elegant Hotel Barrière Le Normandy and the iconic Barrière Fouquet’s Paris, our journey was a captivating exploration of opulence and refinement.
In Deauville, we were welcomed by the majestic Royal Barrière Hotel, a regal castle exuding splendour with its grand windows, delicate pleats, and luxurious king-size beds. Situated just two hours from Paris, the hotel offered spacious rooms and magnificent views of the Channel, making it a favourite among celebrities and discerning travellers. We were delighted to have the opportunity to meet Eric Fouquet, the hotel’s sales director, and enjoy a memorable dinner.
Next, we discovered the captivating charm of Hotel Barrière Le Normandy. Its Anglo-Norman style, adorned with Toile de Jouy fabrics, created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The hotel’s half-timbering, ribbed armchairs, and comfortable king-size beds added to its elegance. We indulged in the Belle Époque ambience, relishing the cosy bars and chic brasseries. From diving into the private pool to strolling along the Planches boardwalk and experiencing the vibrant American Film Festival, the hotel offered a range of unforgettable experiences.
Our journey then took us to the heart of Paris, where we experienced the iconic Barrière Fouquet’s. This exquisite hotel on the renowned Champs-Élysées perfectly embodied the City of Light’s cultural richness and romantic allure. With intimate and comfortable rooms offering majestic views of the capital, a rejuvenating spa, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre, we found a sanctuary for relaxation. The legendary Brasserie Fouquet’s beckoned us to savour Parisian gastronomy classics in a stylish and authentic ambience. In addition, we had the privilege of meeting a photographer from Harcourt Studio Paris, known for its iconic portraits of celebrities such as Monica Bellucci, Leticia Casta, and Cate Blanchett.
Our final destination was Hôtel Barrière Le Royal La Baule, a beautiful haven overlooking the sea. Greeted by Eric Renouleaud, the hotel’s sales director, we discovered a serene ambience created by Chantal Peyrat’s inspired interior design. The gleaming white rosette motifs and soft light streaming through Mashrabiya windows evoked far-flung destinations.
Stylish furniture, silky fabrics, and soothing beige and blue tones added to the allure. The Thalasso & Spa Barrière La Baule provided luxurious treatment rooms for ultimate relaxation, complemented by a glass of fine Champagne at the bar. We learned about the hotel’s various health programmes, which offered a comprehensive range of treatments and services.
Our journey allowed us to immerse ourselves in the world of Barrière Hotels, where exceptional service, attention to detail, and a commitment to luxury hospitality were evident in every aspect. Each property showcased the distinctiveness and elegance that have made Barrière a renowned name in the industry. Whether in Deauville, Paris, or La Baule, these hotels provided an unforgettable experience of sophistication and indulgence.
As we bid farewell to these exquisite destinations, we fondly reflect on the memories created and the impeccable service received. Please note that the information provided is based on our personal experience and does not cover all aspects of the properties.
