The Safari Collection’s Private Lion King Tour, Kenya

The Safari Collection has launched a private safari around Kenyan locations which inspired the original Disney film. his adventure is guided by professional photographer and safari guide, Robert Carr-Hartley, who was intimately involved in the creation of the original Lion King film in 1994. The trip includes a stay at the famous Giraffe Manor where giraffes will join you for breakfast and tea, as well as Borana Lodge, a spot very similar to Pride Rock and Masai Mara’s Sala’s Camp, the heart of lion territory. Robert helped with many of the Swahili songs and names in The Lion King, as well as the decision to choose a warthog to be Simba’s sidekick. On this journey into the heart of the ‘Pride Lands’, you will meet some of Lion King’s characters, including Simba’s pride, Zazu the hornbill, Pumba the warthog, Ed, Shenzi and Banzai the hyenas.
