From proposals to birthday parties, here at Insignia we’ve organised some unforgettable celebrations for our members. Now, we’ll be surprising and delighting them even further by teaming up with the global event creators Savile Rose, who are masters of both jaw-dropping scale and intricate detail. We asked them to talk us through some of their most magical creations.

THE CELEBRITY WEDDING OF THE YEAR

“A glamorous gathering of TV personalities, social media influencers and Chelsea’s finest gathered for Hugo Taylor and Millie Mackintosh’s wedding this summer. Covered by Hello Magazine, it was a romantic English countryside celebration in beautifully classical surroundings with fashionable pops of colour and floristry flair.

“The pièce de résistance was the bespoke ceremony arch, which was crafted from clouds of contemporary white balloons and cascading delicate white florals with subtle pastel highlights. A one-of-a-kind piece – and a viral sensation on social media – it framed the ceremony and gave them the most stunning and memorable photographs to treasure in the years to come.

“Guests were treated to a botanically inspired walled-garden reception with bespoke floral cocktails before repairing to a clear-roofed dining marquee, which we adorned with stunning florals and glossy green foliage overhead. Frothy blossom trees, an abundance of striking peonies and scented roses, set against rustic wooden furniture with touches of rose gold tableware all added up to an ‘effortless’ style statement. The evening finished with a fantastic secret nightclub framed by life-sized LED palm trees and a huge mirrorball, under which the guests partied until dawn…”

A MAGICAL PRINCESS PARTY

“Our two-year-old old client is a huge fan of Disney’s ‘Princess Sofia’, so we created a true fairytale castle setting for her, albeit in the centre of Mayfair. The glass turrets were filled with real jewel-coloured butterflies, with mini desserts, and a stunning eight-tier butterfly cake presented with sparklers, candles and indoor pyrotechnics to add some magic. Friendly rabbits hopped around while children were entertained by real-life princesses, and  ‘Minimus’ – our wonderfully friendly pony, who was magically transformed with purple iridescent sparkle and feathered white wings, handcrafted to order in America.”

A BABY SHOWER IN A PALACE

“We held an extremely fun baby shower within the beautiful grounds of Kensington Palace. Invitations were sent in the form of crystal-set rose gold dummies in plush velvet boxes, hand-delivered to each guest. We extended the existing Orangery with an elegant marquee decorated as a giant version of a children’s nursery set, complete with giant scale replicas of the client’s best-loved childhood toys. Cocktails were served out of Tommy Tippee cups, desserts were served out of Silver Cross prams and guests partied away to the Backstreet Boys, who flew in for the occasion to serenade the client with her favourite childhood songs.”

A SPECTACULAR SWISS CHALET

“Would you believe us if we told you this was central London in summer? We surprised the client by recreating their beloved Swiss chalet as a three-story fascia in front of their London house, adding a pine forest with snow blizzards outside – plus a pair of St Bernard Dogs with brandy barrels at the ready. We added a bespoke marquee to the back of the house to replicate the chalet’s dining space, complete with wood panelling, a real roaring fire and stunning cozy dining table set up, with a secret recipe fondue specially flown in from Gstaad.  We even filmed the exact view from the original chalet and set this time-lapse footage behind a window in the dining space, so guests could watch the sun setting over the snowy valley with the lights twinkling in the village below…”

AN UNFORGETTABLE FIRST BIRTHDAY

“For this very special first birthday we designed a bespoke play-filled wonderland from thousands of balloons, creating a dreamlike castle and walkway into the event, with the birthday girl’s name and beautifully framed pictures embossed into the wall. The space was surrounded by animal petting areas, including a pen of gorgeous roly-poly British bulldog puppies, fluffy lambs and rabbits – and even a very friendly and exotic Zonkey foal (a zebra-donkey cross). The puppies were such firm favourites one stayed on as a much-loved member of the family.

“The interiors of the play-space included a hand-painted ceiling mural showing the little girl surrounded by large floral garlands, alongside a stunning oversized ‘1’, made entirely from scented pastel roses, perfect for family photographs. The birthday cake was a one-metre-squared Disney Princess pink palace, adorned with intricate images of the birthday girl behind the windows and little icing figurines of each member of the family, including all of their dogs – of course!”
