Bambi unveils pop up gallery for 57th Venice Biennale at Venice in a Bottle Gallery, Via Garibaldi, Castello 1794
12 May – 25 June 2017
In her first Italian show, coinciding with the 57th Venice Biennale, Bambi is unveiling new work inspired by climate change. A long term environmentalist, Bambi was further inspired by the issue driven documentary Before the Flood by Leonardo DiCaprio and Fisher Stevens.
Continuing to highlight political and social injustices, Bambi’s piece highlights the devastating impact of climate change. She will also release the first official prints of her internationally acclaimed piece Lie Lie Land, which features a dancing Theresa May and Donald Trump in the pose made famous by the movie La La Land.
For the first time a very limited edition of hand pulled silkscreens prints of Lie Lie Land in nine different colour ways will be available. All hand signed prints of the seminal work will be released under Bambi’s Endangered Edition series at the gallery on 11th May.
Bambi’s work can be seen at the Venice in a Bottle Gallery, Via Garibaldi, Castello 1794.
