BrazilFoundation has been in the vanguard of Brazilian philanthropy for 16 years. At its heart, philanthropy means the love of humanity. It means respect for cultural diversity and global collaboration, reducing inequality, protecting the environment and promoting development. However, these aspirations are under threat in light of political events around the world. In this spirit, the Fifteenth Anniversary of the Gala will be celebrating the people and organizations who champion Diversity and Inclusion.

New Yorkers will witness an invasion of epic proportions when the Brazil Foundation take over The Plaza on Wednesday 13 September. Expect a sea of colour, silk, and bright smiles as guests, football stars, models, directors and socialites don their best suits and floor-length frocks for the seated dinner, cocktails, mingling, the evening’s awards ceremony and riveting discussions courtesy of guest speakers. Past guests have included Carlos Saldanha (the director of the animated Rio), Jesse Eisenberg, Brazilian soccer star Ronaldo and Model Natalia Vodianova. Proceeds from the Gala Dinner will finance projects in the areas of education & culture, health, human rights & civic engagement, socioeconomic development, and social enterprise.

Join the 7th Annual New York Harbour Regatta & Bash in support of the New York Harbour foundation and its two flagship initiatives – New York Harbour School and Billion Oyster Project (an ecosystem restoration and education project aimed at restoring one billion live oysters to New York Harbor by 2035 (today, oysters are functionally extinct in the Harbor).

A day spent sailing on the water of the iconic harbor and waterways, followed by a festive bash on historic Governors Island, is now an NYC tradition – for sailing enthusiasts and the community alike – to close the summer sailing season and to open the fall school year. Sailors compete to win the NY Harbour Cup and then join fellow revellers on Governors Island to celebrate a successful day on the water.

The festive evening bash will feature a DJ, open bar, oysters, and seasonal bites from local restaurants while the sun sets behind downtown Manhattan. Before the bash, guests can watch the Regatta from a spectator cocktail cruise aboard the Manhattan II, a 100-foot long yacht with an all-glass observatory, intimate tables, and well-appointed bar. VIPs can board the Mariner III to taste food from a guest chef and experience live music while they view the race.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the New York Harbour Foundation, which supports programming for the students of New York Harbour School, NYC’s only public maritime high school with a student body that represents all five boroughs. The school offers a unique combination of traditional coursework and maritime career skills and technical training.

Fall foliage, majestic horses, beautiful people and heart pounding polo – get ready for the crisp fall air, New York fashion, luxury cars, farm to table cuisine, wine, spirits and beer for an Autumn celebration in New York on Governors Island. The Victory Cup has broken the mold and throws a polo match that everyone wants to be seen attending.

The Victory Cup has a 14-year history from Washington, D.C. to Austin, Texas – but, the Fall Classic on Governors Island is a first. In its fourteenth year, this national event isn’t just a polo match it’s a networking and social destination drawing the cool crowd from New York and beyond.

The most premium tickets are for the Founder’s Lounge or the Golden Mallet VIP Party Tent.
