With the Monaco Grand Prix mere moments away, there has never been a better time to list the French Riviera’s top five eateries. From the laid-back cool of Saint-Tropez to the storied lanes of Eze Village, Insignia has cherry-picked the following establishments as the places to enjoy the best cuisine the Côte d’Azur has to offer.

Mamo – Le Michelangelo, Antibes

Fusing Italian and French cuisine unlike any other dining establishment, Mamo – Le Michelangelo fine dining the traditional way. From delightful pizzas created by a Sicilian pizzaiolo to homemade pasta and best French produce available, patrons will find themselves truly spoiled for choice. Housed in an old wine cellar built of stones, this establishment is chalk-full of history. Paloma, Mougins

Paloma means “dove” in Spanish and it could not be a more apt name for this delightful dining establishment, perched overlooking the greenery of Mougins. Featuring a baroque interior, Paloma offers a culinary journey into the cuisine of the South of France. Awarded two Michelin stars, guests will savour dishes conjured up by chef Nicolas Decherchi. Offering dishes originating from both land and sea, patrons will enjoy the fresh ingredients’ authenticity and uniqueness.

La Chevre d’Or, Eze

Boasting perhaps the most exquisite views of the French Riviera, La Chevre d’Or is elegantly located at the top of Eze Village. Offering an extensive wine list and a sumptuous gourmet menu, this two Michelin starred establishment is an institution on the Nice-to-Monaco stretch of the coast. Besides the unforgettable vistas of the coast, it also appropriately features a golden goat sitting atop the traditional edifice.

Vague d’Or, Saint-Tropez

Led by Thierry Di Tullio, Vague d’Or has been awarded three Michelin stars. The team strive to bring patrons on a journey of all the senses. Renowned for its umbrella lined terrace in fabulous Saint-Tropez, guests to the establishment will enjoy the finest farm-to-table gourmet accompanied by unparalleled views of the legendary harbour.

L’Escale, Saint-Tropez

Located on the iconic and bustling Saint-Tropez harbour at the base of a number of colourful edifices, L’Escale is a place to see and be seen. Offering ocean-fresh fare, this popular eatery allows guests to go barefoot as its floor is ingeniously covered in white sand.
